Refuge Ride

Pickup and Drop Off Information

    • The Refuge Ride will pick neighbors up on an odd/even date of the month schedule (i.e. odd dates are the 1st, 3rd, 5th… and even dates are the 2nd, 4th, 6th…)

      • See below for calendar of pickup dates

    • The Refuge Ride currently does not operate on weekends

    • There is absolutely zero cost to the Refuge Ride. Our service is completely free and will always be completely free.

    • There will be no custom pickup locations, the Refuge Ride will only pick neighbors up at the listed locations for each neighborhood

    • Our Shuttle is handicap accessible. If you have wheelchair needs please note that in the “comments” section when signing up for a ride

    • The Refuge Ride will not wait for pickups

    • The Refuge Ride Driver has the right to refuse service before, during, and after your ride for any reason they see fit.

    Odd Date Schedule

    • Lakeland will be picked at Marbourne Ave & Stranden Ave and Hollins Ferry Rd & Rittenhouse Ave around 9:30 AM

    • Mt. Winans will be picked up at Huron St & Hollins Ferry Rd and Harman Ave & Ridgley St around 9:50 AM

    • Westport will be picked up at Waterview Ave & Norfolk St and Annapolis Rd & Kent St around 10:10 AM

    Even Date Schedule

    • Cherry Hill will be picked up at the Cherry Hill Town Center and Bridgeview Rd & Carver Rd around 9:30 AM

    • Brooklyn will be picked up at the Enoch Pratt Library and Brooklyn Homes Community Center around 9:55 AM

    • Curtis Bay will be picked up at the Curtis Bay Rec Center and Drink at the Well around 10:15 AM

  • The Refuge Ride will stop at the Glen Burnie Walmart, Walgreens, and Aldi’s, as well as the Cherry Hill Rec Center, and Harbor Hospital/Circular everyday. On even dates, the Refuge Ride will also stop at the Patapsco Light Rail and will stop at the Cherry Hill Light Rail on odd dates. Refuge Ride does not run on weekends.

  • The Refuge Ride will do its best to drop off all neighbors at their residence. Drop off location is to be coordinated with the driver at the start of your day otherwise drop offs will be at the standard pickup locations. The driver will make a choice from there based on time, safety, and accessibility.

    If you are not going to be riding the Refuge Ride back to our home/neighborhood. Please coordinate with the driver as to not cause turmoil. If you are not at the designated pickup location at the designated time the driver will give a round of calls and texts before leaving. The Refuge Ride will not wait long for you.

The Refuge Ride will leave pickup locations at the listed time. For example, at 9:30 AM, the Refuge Ride will leave the Cherry Hill Town Center and head towards Bridgeview Rd & Carver Rd. Then, at 9:40 AM, the Refuge Ride will leave Bridgeview Rd & Carver Rd and head towards the Enoch Pratt Library. So be at your stop before the listed time

Rules

  • The Driver has the right to refuse service to anyone at anytime (before, during, or after your ride) for any reason they see fit

  • Walk-ons are allowed, if space is available, but registration is required. This will help us gather demographics as well as contact in case of emergency

  • When signing up, you sign up for yourself and yourself only. Anyone else you desire to bring with you must also sign up for themselves

  • Zero Tolerance for any of the following

    • Fighting on the Refuge Ride or at any stops

    • Weapons, Drugs, or Alcohol usage or possession at any time

    • Discrimination of any kind

  • You must be 18 years old in order to sign up for the Refuge Ride

  • All riders must be registered. Minors must be supervised by an adult and registered by said adult. Car seats and Booster seats must be installed and cared for by oneself.

By signing up for the Refuge Ride you hereby acknowledge all of these rules and regulations and agree to them all and any more to come. You also agree to waive City of Refuge Baltimore and the Refuge Ride of any liability that may ensure. You also agree to being filmed by out constant surveillance of the Refuge Ride. Any and all concerns can be taken to the main office.

  • No. The Refuge Ride only do pickups at the predetermined locations listed prior. And and all changes to pickups will be posted on this page, social media, as well as on the signup page itself. However, the Refuge Ride desires to be able to drop off neighbors at their home if desired. If this is your wish you must coordinate this with the driver at the beginning or prior to your ride.

  • Yes! Our shuttle has the capacity fit up to 14 passengers as well as have room leftover for any groceries or items you may end up buying during your trip.

  • If they have been signed up prior to your pickup time, most definitely! If they have not, it is up to the driver to make the decision. Any decision they make must be accepted. We apologize for any inconvenience.

  • No. Although drop off locations may be subject to change, we will not make custom stops at any time.

  • Maybe. If we have space available, yes. If we do not, no. This is up to the driver to decide. Registration will be required.
